Bynum Bus No. 79 by Ronny Wheeler

Bynum Elementary School

Sad to see it fenced in and rundown. We were proud of our school.

What My Community Means To Me

I am thankful for what my community means to me.   I am going to tell what my home, church, school and organizations have to do in the community.

The home is the most important place.  Here you can get more out what home is.  At home you can get more information on many different things.   Here you can learn how to treat your brothers and sisters.  Here you can learn how to become a better citizen of your community.   Here you can learn how to behave when you go to someone’s house.  Here your mother and father are ready to lend a helping hand at anything you need help with.  Your parents are very nice and kind.   They give you protection from fear and want.

The church is the second best place in the community.  At the church you can learn about Christ and his teachings.   There are a lot of things that you can learn here that you probably never have learned elsewhere.

The school is the third best place to be.   Here teachers come five days a week to teach you more about the subjects that you have at school.   The teachers are very important to me.  The teacher and you should be the very best of pals.  The teachers are just like your parents.   At school you will learn how to behave and other things that are important to be known about.    The teachers are just like your parents.    I am thankful for what I have learned in the six years in school.

There are two organizations to which I belong.  I belong to Boy Scouts and baseball.  Boy scouts helps me to learn what to do in any situation and how to become a good citizen.    Baseball helps me to be a good sport.  It also gives me exercise and recreation.

All these things will help me to be a better citizen of tomorrow.  In other words, Alexander  Pope said” Tiz education forms the common mind. Just as the twig is bent, the tree is inclined.”
