I can’t hardly wait to get out of school this afternoon! Oops I forgot---can
hardly wait.
I don’t understand that. Can’t stands for can not so why would you say can hardly?
Well, anyway I want school to be out!!!
Tonight is the Community Christmas Tree---soooo that means this afternoon we all get to walk around with Santa Claus.
O how much fun it will be for my friends and me to walk with SANTA!
We will tell Santa what we want for Christmas and then we will go to the Drug Store for ice cream.
After supper we will get ready and go to the Theater Building for the Christmas Tree.
It’s so much fun walkin’ with everybody, laughin’ and talkin’ on the way to the Theater Building.
O my! That’s gotta be the biggest tree in the whole wide world! How can anything be so beautiful and shiny?
I’m so happy! I can’t wait to get my present and my fruit and candy!
I love this music! “Jingle Bells” is so much fun but “Silent Night” is so pretty.
Goody! The Colonel’s through talkin’—the skit’s over---now the will tell us to come get our stuff! HOORAY!!
Santa has said goodnight. It’s time to go home.
It’s cold out here. The stars are so pretty and twinkly.
Is this what the night was like when that person wrote that pretty song “Silent Night?”
Tucked away in the branches of my mind there is a beautifully gift wrapped package containing my memories of Christmases in Desoto Manor, and of a man who was Santa Claus to us all, Mr. Bruce Walker.
Thank you, Santa, for many wonderful walks.
